Qiink Bed

A contemporary re-connection to the whip lash curvature of the Art nouveau movement.

The form of the bed is a three dimensional exploration of the acceleration and deceleration of the whip lash curve, with the use of American oak timber strips and copper base for extenuating its beauty and re-enforcing its structural efficiency.

Design emphasise based on the juxtaposition between the formal geometry and comfort of the  rectangular mattress against the twisting and flowing forms of the timber and copper. Unifying two design languages to create a unique, sculptural and functional master bed.
